Owl Box Update

Earlier in the year we put up two owl boxes for the tawny owls we have in the area and I'm happy to say we have chicks in one of them!!!

Unfortunately they're great tit chicks!! They certainly have gone for the executive suite.

However the owls have nested in the same place as last year and we found two chicks braving the strong winds yesterday. Photographing them was hard work as the trees were been buffeted by the winds and branches and leaves constantly blocked the view. But great to see them with an adult bird close by looking well fed and healthy.
